The two-mile event was } won by Eandiup (40yds) in 4min 20 4-ssec, with 1 Spillane (200 yds) second, and J. Connell third, i Fein- motor bicycles competed for the £10 : prize. Porter (on Clarke's motor) rode dar- ) ingly, and won the first five-mile hea-t from i scratch in lOmin 13sec. In the final he failed i to make up his handicap of 90sec, but rode i faster, his best lap occupying 21 3-ssec. ;
