OTAGO LAND BOARD.

The ordinary weekly meeting of the Otago Land Boaid was held on Thursday, and was attended by Messrs D. Barron (Commissioner of Crown Lands), Clark, Dallas, and Kirkpatrick.

Henry M'Corrnick, jun , applied for a reduction of rent on his Run, No. 51c, Waipori district. — It was decided that the board was unable to grant the reduction. An application by Alexander M'Rae to suirender his small grazing run lease over section 1, block VII, Hummock, and section 15, bock IV, Nenthorn district, was considered. — Surrender accepted, subject to the consent of the Minister.

Alfred Crooke, on behalf of J. J. Harris, applied to purchase or lease section 3, block XIV, Benger district, pound reserve. Frank Kiscock also applied for the same section. — Referred to ranger for report.

Dalgely and Co.. on behalf of F. J. Dalgety, applied for a renewal of the license to occupy one acre on the Lmdis Burn as a site for an accommodation house. — Granted for seven years from October 7, 1903.

C. Harrington wro^t; in regard to rent due by him upon perpetual lease 871, section 53, block IX, G-leiiomaru district. — Received.

W. J. M'Creacly applied for a reduction in the rent of his yearly license No. 159, part of section 15, block V, Kysburn district, as a considerable portion of the land is made useless owing to its being worked by miners. — Yearly license renewed at a rental of £5.

The Stock Inspector, Naseby, wote stating that Edward Dow was willing to take a license to occupy section 5, block VIII, Na=eby district. — Mr Shaw to hi requested to deal with the matter; a rental of 5s to be chaiged.

The Surveyor-general wrote with reference to J. Herriott's application for a further remission of rent on his Pomahaka sections. — Received.

Arthur S. Thurlow wrote with refeience to the rabbiting of small grazing run No. 226, St. Bathans district. — Received.

William Hanger wrote with reference to the rabbiting on small grazing run No. 226p, St. Bathans district.— Received.

The board was requested to declare tho pastcral licenses Nos. 1148 raid 1149, Runs No. 95a and 99a, held by Francis Cotter, forfeited fcr non-payment of rent, m accordance with Gazette notice. — Forfeited.

A memo, from the Assistant Chief Inspector of Stock with reference to Runs No. 95a and 99a, Hunter Valley, Hawea Lake, was held over.

The following application for a pastoral license was granted. — 4223, John Stewait, section 53j block 111, Otago -Peninsula district. [

The following application to transfer was granted: — Small gracing run 355, E. G-. A. Hill 1 * to T. A. Munro and H. J. B. Munro, runs 3 and 4 of 23, Kurow district, and the following application was also granted, subject to revaluation for improvements being raised to .PI OO: — Lease in perpetuity 228 ex.. Daniel Flynn to James O1O 1 Conn ell, section 19, block 11, Budle district.

James Yorston wrote asking if the board was prepared to bell section 17, block IV. Clarendon district, in two lots, and also asked if section 1. block XI, education reserve, could be leased. — Referred to rpnger for report.

T. D. M'Levie applied for a right to occupy section 92, block I, St. Bathans district. — Declined.

The board was requested to fix the upset price of sections 24 and 25, block XXV, Town of Clinton.— "Dpsefc price fixed at £1 10s per quarter acre

Ranger Atkinson reported that it would noi be necessary to burden section 8, block VI, Naseby district, with valuation for crop, as it vould be removed before the land was open for selection. — Received.
