j.neie was a large j aiding at the Addington saleyaras yesteiday, and a good atterdunce of buyers. Fat Cattle. — 173 head were yaided, the cntiy comprising useful beef, but nothing of exceptional quality. The market opened poorJy, but lecovered liter on, and pr»ees were on "a par with those ruhug last w- :k— namely, from 39s to 23s per 1001b Steers icil>s,cd iiom £6 123 6d to £10, heilers, £5 15-, to £8 12s 6d • cows, £5 5s to £9.
Fat Sheep.— The entiy was fjuly numerous, ai.d included some faniy large Jmes of pume wethers, llieba were taken by frcoau.g, operators at prices equal to late rate*-. Theie weie a few pens of ewes showing excellent qualify. These sold at an advance on last week's puces. The range of prices was Freezing wethers, 179 to 20s; unfinished withers. 15s to 16= 4d , best ewes, 18s to 18s; others, 12 to 15s Cd , merino wethers 12=> yd to lis 6d.
Fat L?mbs.— The nntry. totalling about 2200, c-cmprised fair u\crage quality, but ro exceptional linei. Export buj jrs and butchers competed freely, and last week's prices were mairtamed Best sorto brought from 13s 6d to 15s 2d ; lighter, from lls 9d to 13s.
Store Sheep. — There was a large entry in the store pens, numbering 4360, including a few good lines in forwaid condit on. Those bringing top pric?3 — namely, four-tooth wethers fiom Cashmere Estate— were fit fei f : t pens, and went to a freezing buyer at 18s. Other sales ranged from 16s 5d to §s.
Pigs. — Theie was a fair entiy in fat pi^.s, with a gocd demand at late rate 3. Choppers brought up to £3 17s, baconcrs from 12s to 50s , extia heavy, 55s equal to from Id to 4M per lb , poikcrs, 30s to 39s Gd equal to sid per lb Stores were fairly numerous, a.id met a weak market. A line of 31 foiwaid stores lpahsed 345. Othpr= biroiidht 22s to r.Gs for large, lls to 22s for medium, and 73 to 10s for weaners.
