The motion was seconded bj Mr Gartley and earned. The retiring dnectors (Messrs Kelman and( Paulson) were re-elected, on the motion of Mi Lukej seconded by Mr Theyer3. On the motion of Mr Theyers, seconded bj Ivlr Simonssn, it was decided that the retiiing auditors, Messrs Grimstone and Young, be reappomted. It was resolved that the remuneration fci the directors and auditors be the same as foi last year. ,

The date of the next annual meeting wsj fixed for the second Monday m February, 1905. — Alexandra Herald.

REPORTS FROM WORKING DREDGES,

The master of the Moonlight dredge reports a return of 14oz for 114 hours' work last week. A stoppage of four hours was caused thiough having to repair the drop shoot, which will soon require new bars. A new bottom tumble! has been despatched to the claim, and this should greatly facilitate the working of the dredge. The Secretary of the Roxburgh Amalgamated Mining and Sluicing Company (.Limited) reports a return of 960z 2dwt 12gr for the month of January.

The Secretary of the Paterson's Freehold Gold Mining Company zeports the following returns cor last week. — lloz 17dwt for the week's work from the No. 1 dredge; 19oz 7dwt for the w-eek's work from the No. 2 dredge.

The secretary of the Stony and Mosquite Leads Gold Dredging Company reports a return of 30oz lOdwt for three days' work last week.

The master of the Mystery Flat dredge reports a return of 240z 17dwt for 134 hours' work. The ground was about the same as that worked during last week.

The master of the Alexandra Lead dredge reports a return of 7oz 14dwt for 120 hours' work. It is intended to suspend operations in order to fit the dredge with a Payne and Peck patent elevator.

The master of the Molyneux Kohinoor dredga reports a return of 12oz l&dwt for 130 hours' work. It is intended to shift the dredge today. The secretary of the Shotovcr Quartz Mining Company reports a return of 89oz lOdwt oi gold for the month of January, only brokea time having been worked.

The secretary of the Clyde Gold Dredging Company leports a letuni of 270z for five days' work. The master stated that he had! cemmenced operations at Fren. hman's Beach,

The secretary of the New Htifway Houae Gold Dredging Company reports a return oS 20oz ldwt 6gr. The master stated that tlie prospects weie fair, but that the ground was rough.

The secretary of the Aldinga Gold Dredging Company reports a return of 270z Bdwt for 130 hours' woik. The master stated that tho dredge was taking out the right-hand cornet of the face.

The secretary of the Golden Gate Dredging Company reports a return of 30oz lOdwt for the week's woik. The master statsd that the river was falling. The secretary of the Reevos's Proprietary Gol-d Dredging Company leports a return oi 340z for 138 hotirs' woik. A new shait is being put m the lowsr main tumbler.
