The demand is very keen, a.nd extreme prices are being paid. Pelta, Gd to Is 9d; crossbred, 2a to 3s 8d; extra, 3s 9d to 4s 3d. Hides.—We hold fortnightly sales, and quote Sgd to 6d, according to weight and condition. We hold auction sales every fortnight. Horsehair, 13Jd to 14Jd. Country sales conducted on most reasonable tenna. We can supply rabbit and sheep netting, oil cake, farmers' Fairbanks 4001b scales, £5 10s; Crown sheep dip—casks 3s per gallon, drum? 3s 6d; Berger's red and black sheepbranding oil, 4s per gallon; Gibson's cattle brand, 9s for small and 15s for large tins" Newton's patent wool presses, £13 each; clover, rape, and turnip seeds, all freshly landed. Beeswax, Is 2d to Is 4d. Onions.—Melbcurnes are quoted at Gs; Canterbury, £4 to £5 Walnuts, sid. Bacon.—Rolls, B}d to 9d. Hums, Od to 105 Pigs.—For sizes up to 1601b. first-cla^s dairyfeed quality, 5Jd wanted, over that weight prices lar.go from 3Jd to 4Jd. Butter boxes, with parchment linings, we can supply at 18s per dozen. Vickcry's egg preservative, 20s per case of 8 gallons Poultry.—ln good demand. Roosters, 33 to 3s 9d; hens, 2s to 2s Gd; ducks. 3a to 3s 6d; hen turkeys, 5d to Gd; cock turkeys, 8d to lOd. Wanted for South Africa 1000 pairs hens and roosters in good condition, minimum weight "Jib, at 2a Sd per pair; super chickens, 3s 9d, railage free on all birds parsed by Government grader; also 4lb ducks at 3s 9d per pair.
