17s to 23s yesterday. Though nothing official Jias transpired as to the cause of the improvement in prices, it is reported that the dredge iB now doing better than she was during the latter half of last week. Eight sales were effected during the day, the prices being 173, 18s 6d, 19s, 20s, 22s 9d, 235, and 22s 6d, while the closing quotations were 22s and 22s 9d. No Town Creeks were steady, but the demand for them was not so good as might have been expected in consequence of the handsome returns that have been obtained of late. There ■was no appreciable change in Rise and Shines, a parcel of which was taken up at 30s 6d, with additional buyers at 303, and sellers at 31s €d. A good deal of attention was devoted to investment stocks other than dredging, ftnd as there is not much cause for fluctuation prices remain very steady, the tendency in most cases being to advance a little June 29.— Lady Roxburgh (contnb.). 6s and 53 dis; Monte Christo, 5s 6d; JNew Halfway House, 17s, 18s 6d, 19s, 20s, 22s 9d, 23a, and 22s 6d; Rise and Shine, 30s Gd. •
