The Transvaal Government offers a reward of £25,000 for a cure for horse sickness.
Legislation is preparing in Pretoria for indenturing Asiatics exclusively to work in the mines, and repatriating them at the end of their indenture". It is expected that the mines will be supplied by tho end of the year.
