ROUGH PLAY.
CHRISTCHURCH, June 23.
The Canterbury Rugby Union Committee to-night disqualified one senior a-nd two third class players for the rest of the season for striking opponents in last Saturday's games. Motions were carried urging the selectors to exclude from the Canterbury teams any notoriously rough player, and urging the New Zealand Union to ask the English Union to give the power of reporting rough play to some authorised official other than the referee.
