OTAGO RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION.

The weekly meeting of the 0.R.F.U., held, on Monday, was attended by Messrs J. Hutchison (president), F. H. Campbell, W. A. Wilkinson, P. J. Priest, V. Cavanagh, P. 8. K. Macassey, D. M. Munro, G. W. Macdonald, 'H. Harris, A. C. Hanlon, Dr Hunter, and G. Smith. under the manageniout of Mr T. A. Hunter to p. ay a match with Canterbury College. . A letter was received from the University of Otago Endowment Committee thanking the union for the donation of £20 cowards the fund.

A transfer was granted to H. Calder from the Clinton -Club to the Dunedin Club.

The referee (Mr J. Kenyon) in the match High School A v. Ravensbourne reported a. spectator named Thomas Andrews for using bad language. — It wu resolved to disqualify Andrews for the remainder of the season.

It was resolved to grant the Otago Rowing Association the proceeds of the trial match on Angust 8. The referee (Mr T. Gibb) in the match Athletic (Oamaru) v. Excelsior (Oamaru) reported that he had ordered G. Broad, of the Athletic team, off the field for misconduct. Broad not having appeared before the North Gtago Referees' Association when requested to do so, it was decided to suspend him during the pleasure of tl*p- union.

The appeal of the University Club against the decision of the referee (Mr S. Ballan-tyn-p) in the match University Second v. Southern Second in not allowing them a mark from which a goal could have been kicked was disallowed. The referee' in his report stated that the player who made tho fair catch did not claim tho same according " to tiie laws of the game.

D. Gillies, the Clinton player reported by the referee (Mr A. Eyro) in the match Clinton v. Owaka for rough play, was suspended for the rest of the season. W. H. Stewart (the Owaka player reported by the referee in the same match for misconduct) was debarred from playing in the next match tho Owaka team play. The referee's action in awarding the Owaka v. Clinton match to the Owaka team owing to the Clinton captain withdrawing his team from the field, was confirmed.

Alhambra, at Opoho; Kaikorai v. Union, on tho Xoith Ground; Southern v. Port Chalmers, at Tahuna Park No. 2.

Third Grade.— Port Chalmers v. Taieri Rovers, at Green Island ; Dunedin By. Pirates, at Forbury No. 2; High School A v. Dunedin A, on the Asylum (1.30) ; Kaikorai v.
