ADVANCE IN THE PRICE OF FLOUR.
Owing to the startling advance in the price of wheat, the Millers' Association has advanced the loeul -prices of flour ps follows — Sacks (200" s), to £11 per ton , 100's, to £11 10s; 50"s, to £11 15s, 25's, to £12. It will have been noticed f'oni our telegrams of the last fey days that a corresponding advance in the prire of wheat and flour has occurred m Australia.
AUCKLAND, April 11. A mes-ugo icceived this afternoon states that flour and wheat meal have advanced to £11. TIMARU, April 11. A sharp lise has taken place in wheat, 3s 9J being offered and refused for prime lots. Few samples are available, threshing having been delayed by wet weather. Flour hao gone up locally to £10 s=.
The Bruce Herald state= that the average price obtaining for oats, in the 'inkomairiro district is about 2s lid pei bushel. Wheat coii'inautls about 3s 4^l. ?nd !<nv good samples can easily be placed at that figure (on trucks) at Milton.
