CATLIN'S RIVER STOCK SALES

The Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand (Limited) report having held their upual monthly sale at Owaka on Thursday. There was a good entry, consisting of 13 ram«, 52 cov.s and heifers, 45 bullocks and steers, 26 calve«, 22 pigs, and 5 horses, owned by 33 different vendors. The attendance was also good, and under fairly good bidding the whole of the entry, with the exception of one lot of cattle, changed hands at satisfactory lates. All stock sold at prices quite on a par with outside markets. Bullocks and steers, £2 17s to £6 43 ; cows and heifers, £1 10s to £6; calves, at 10s 6d to 255; pigs, at 7s to 9s, rams, at 10s to 40s; horses, up to £15 10s.
