The local singers were strengthened by the members of the Waikouaiti choir, who journeyed out specially to assist. Some harvest hymns were sting, and the following anthems were well rendered — "' All Thy works" ' Praise the Lord, O mv c oui, > " They ih.it sow in tears," and' " Praise Him." Main Uoad.— A track iiist wide enough for a c?rt to pa^s through has been cut through tiie slip on the main road on the Kilmog Hill. The mullocky stuff is very difficult to clear away while it is soft, and the track is very dirty. It will be some time before the whole of the roadway is cleared. Lagoon.— The Hawksbury lagoon has had a. •jood scour out during the late flood, and the channels, which were silted up and overgrown with weeds, are now cleaned out with the force of the water winch rushed down them. The board was about to have them cleaned out by manual labour, but the flood has saved that expense. A new footbridge is to be erected at the mouth of the lagoon— a work that is much needed no<v that the channel at the sea-end is bo deep Various -In the absence of the vicar yesterday, the Rev. W.
