April B. —The monthly meeting of the Peninsula Road Board, held on Saturday, was attended by Messrs Ross (chairman), M'Curdy, Riddell, Gunn, Walker, and Fairbairn. It was resolved — " That the overflow of surface water running into Mr Gray's property, Anderson's Bay, be " conveyed into the proper course by an additional culvert." A letter was read from the Portobello Road Board stating that the board was willing to pay half cost of repairs to a road leading to Mr J. Blacks. -The clerk was instiucted to write to Mr Outline to reqtiest him to remove the boathouse erected by him on the road p i»t Hooper's Inlet. Also to Mr Cadzow, requesting him to pitt a culvert underneath hiS private road to convoy the water into the water table. The following tenders were accepted for metal — Highchff road, J. Westfold, at 2s, Main road and Camp road, A. Brown, at 2s; Anderson's Bay, Main road, James Henderson, at 2s sd. The price for breaking metal was fixed at — Bluestone, 2s; rotten rock, Is 6d , to be broken to 2Jin gauge., A trader from J. Westfold for metal in Mrs Sanderson's quarry was considered too high, and it was decided to call for fresh tenders. The question of metal for Duckworth's road was ordered to stand over at present. It was decided to call tenders foi Sandymount metal — 200 yards for Mam road, 50 yards for Sandymount road, 50 yards for Cowan's road. Accounts weie passed for payment for £43.
