The rabbit Question. TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, — I see another letter signed "Frir Play" in the Witness of the 27th ult. He is still abusing me and singing the piaises ot the rabbit inspectors. It is impossible for rue to say bow many rabbits he thought he saw, I on:y know that rabbits wers not numeious oj the Conical Hills estate in Februaiy, 1900. This I can easily prove. Were I to assert that rabbits on "Fair Play's" farm are now a "moving mass, ' and that he is abusing me "nd praising the inspectors for the purpose of standing well with them, and so escaping pioaeeution, it wou'.d be nearer the truth than Ins statement about rabbits on my property. There is always a reason for everything, and I think I hrve hit the mark again. Ido not blame 'Fair Play." It saves a lot of trouble to stand well with the rabbit inspectors, and gives a lot of trouble to quarrel with them —I ana, etc., VTV T AT SON SHEN XA X ■P-S- — I had almost forgotten to give joi a quotation horn Burns, but here it i,. In the course of a day or two the lady came back in comp-xny with a friend in need of a cough medicine, and advised hei to buy a bottle of Ciambi'iLun'i Cough, Rcme'ly. I ooiwder that a 'very good recommendation foi the remedy." It is foi sale by all dcahi-. Trice, !«, 6'd and 3d.
