Cattle. — 165 head yarded, the bulk of which v/ere good to prime quality. Sales opened fairly well, and improved as they proceeded, but bidding became duller towards the close, and the average prices niay be qiioted about 5s per head lower than last week. Best bullocks, £9 to £10 10s; extra weights up to £11 17s 6d; good bullocks, £7 15s to £8 15s; best cows and heifers, £6 to £8; extra weights up to £9 17s 6d. — Matheson, Plain, and x Co. yarded 38 head, and -sold: For Messrs W. Fat Lambs. — The first of the season came in to-day, and met extra keen competition, and sold at fancy prices — viz., 14s 6d to 17s Gd.. Donald Reid and Co. (Limited) yarded, and sold: For Mr John Heads (Milburn), 6 at 17s to ]6s 6d; Mr Wm. Thomson (Ayrshire Park), 6 at T, 6g to 14s 6d.

Pigs. — 224 penned, and, of course, proved very much in excess of requirements, and prices show a further decline. Suckers, 4s to 9s 6d; slips, 10s to 13s ; stores, 15s to 18s 6d ; porkers, 21s to 30s ; baconers, 31s to 355 ; heavy pigp, to 445. Dalgety and Company (Limited) yarded --and sold 50 at quotations. Rabbitskins.- — -There was a good attendance of buyers at Monday's sales, and a slightly improved demand existed for all classes of skins. There is, however, no quotable change to report in prices, which are as follows: — Best winters, 16d to 16|d ; selected, to 17d ; medium, 14Jd to 15|d; autumns (late), 12Jd to 13Jd ; do (esrly), 9d to lid; summers, 6Jd to 8d; suckers and runners, 3d to 5.k1 ; fawns, 9d to Hid ; blacks, 22d to 24d per lb. Sheepskins were offeied as usual on Tuesday, and produced the usual competition. Prices^ remain firm at last week's quotations. Ordinary merino skins brought from 5d to 5Jd ; half bred, sd; crossbreds, 41d; dead crossbred skins, 3Jd to 4d per lb.

Hides. — Good inquiry for these still exists, and prices show no appreciable change. Quotations are: — Prime ox, 3id. to 4d; medium, 3|d to 3|d; light and inferior, 3|Jd to 3Jd; cowhides, best, 3|d to 3|d ; do, light and inferior, 3d to 31d,per lb; calfskins, Is 3d tc Is lOd each.

Tallow. — Prices for this show a slight improvement on those ruling last week. We quote: — Prime rendered mutton, ISs to 20s; medium do, 16s to 17s 6d; rough fat and inferior tallow, 12s 6d to 14s per cwt.

Grain. — Wheat: Prime samples meet with good inquiry, while medium quality is in demand for shipment; fowl feed is also firm at late rates. Prime velvet and Tuscan is worth 2s 6d to 2s 7Jd ; medium do, 2* 2d to 2s sd ; fowl feed, 2s to 2s Id ; broken do, Is 8d to Is lid per bushel (sacks in, teinis).. Oats: The demand for all lines suitable fox shipment is much better than was the case last week. The inquiry for milling samples is limited. Pi'ime
