GORE STOCK SALES.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) GORE, October 2. Sheep. — About 2000 were yarded. The demand was very poor, and jl number of lots were passed in at auction. Farmers do not seem, inclined to buy at present, preferring to wait till the grass comes away. Two and fourtootli wethers brought 16s 4d; full and brokenmouth ewes (with lambs brought 14s 6d to 16s 4d; hoggete, 9s 7d, Us 7d, 12s 9d, 13s 6d, 14s 6d, and 14s lOd. Cattle. — Fifty head were yarded. The deninnd was fairly good, and anything good brought high prices. Fat steers realised £6; fat cows, £5 to £7; good forward steers, £5 7s; two-year-old heifers, £3; calves, 30s; dairy cows, £3 10s to £7.
