Notes from Clyde. (From Our Own Correspondent.)

Clyde, September 27. — The repairs to the Unity dredge are not yet completed. The screen for the Caimmuir dredge has been delivered at the site. The river is again falling slowly. The goldfields revenue paid into the Vincent County Council for the month of August amounted to £620 4s sd. October 1. Quite a large quantity of machinery is being delivered at the building sites in the Ch/deCioniwell gorge.

| The weather here is quite wintry, snoTfr showers passing daily over the high country. It is said that there is little or no snow in the interior, therefore any rise in the river this spring can only be cf short duration. The dredges will have a splendid season in consequence. The prospects are said to be improving with" the New Alexandra dredge. The dredge ia operating at the north-west end of the claim. Owing to the low river the Cairnmuir pon-< toons cannot be launched. The Dunstan Pioneer Company have not! rnade^ a move towards building the pontoons. So far a building site has not been laid off. "When the Cairnmuir pontoons are launched! the Old Dunstan Company's pontoons will be constructed on the building site. The Leaning Rock Company's pontoons are to be constructed on the Monte Christo building site, as the claims adjoin some little distance fioni the site.
