WEST COAST,
Another Chinaman was found murdered in his hut at Carr's Creek. He was lying face down, with the back of his head knocked in. No further particulars are to hand.
A -whirlwind passed through Hokitika on Saturday, doing considerable damage to property. Several buildings were damaged, and many trees in Cafes square recreation ground blown down.
