WINGATUI TRAINING NOTES.

Most of the trainers took advantage of the good morning, the weather on Tuesdaj* being all that could be desired. Horees that were worked were mostly extended. iA.s usual, the first to work was Taggart, ' who sent Paladin a mile. He was picked up by St. Deiiis at the six furlong j)ost.^ Both horses finished well, but the latter had the best of] it. Jupiter and St. Ouida tried conclusions with each other for a mile on the plough, but Si. Ouida was no u»e to the former. Kohuri executed cantering work, while Abercromb.ie ' proved too good for Decoy at six furlongs. This gallop was negotiated on the grass. Red Banner and Nihilist ran a good six furlongs on the plough, the latter having a little the best of it at the finish'^ The former is, I think, short of work, because she tired towards the finish. "'Brisa and Maremma cantered once round, ' and then, jumped off for a seven furlong spin. Thajr both finished together.- Blazer strode along in a workmanlike manner for once round on the plough, while Far Niente spurted for half a mile. Pampero strode along very nicely for four furlongs. After" breakfast' proposal beat Fulraen over six furlongs, while* Witchcraft held an advantage 1 over Off Chance and Bracken over a mile on the plough. Benson executed five furlongs fast. Edelweiss went two rounds on the plough with sweaters on, and Felina and Lakefield had a set to for six furlongs. Blackpool travelled six furlongs on the plough in a taking manner.
