SALE OP DAIRY COWS.
Messrs Maclean and Co. report:— We held a sale of dairy cows on behalf of Mr A. M'Cabe, Portobello, at Bay View yesterday. Mr M'Cabe' s well-known art in keeping nothmg but first-class cows drew a good attendance, and, the animals being all in grand order, some spirited bidding took place. An idea of the stamp of cows may be gathered from the prices realised — viz., best cows, £8 to £9 10s; best heifers, £4 to £5 7s 6d.- We also sold a number on behalf of Messrs T. Lynn and others, at up to £<i ISs.
