Wheat. — The demand is quiet, millers in the meantime buying sparingly, and only prime quality at that. The demand for fowl feed is 'quiet. We quote: TBest velvet, 2s 6d to 2s 7d; medium, 2s sd; best Tuscan, 2s 6d; medium, 2s sd; fowl wheat, 2s to 2s 2d. Oats: The demand is hardly so keen as of late. We qiiote: Best feed, 2s; medium and inferior, Is 7d -to Is lid per bushel;- Sutherlands, 2s Id. Barley. Feed sorts are quoted at Is 6d to Is 9d; milling, Is lOd to as ; prime malting, 2s 6d to 2s 9d. Ryecorn, nominally, 2s to 2s 6d, no sale. Flour: We quote £6 10s. Oatmeal in 25's, £11. Pearl barley, £10 10s. Bran, £2 15s. Pollard, £3 ss. Nelson hops are quoted at 8d to lid (f.0.b.). Chaff: Market fairly well supplied. Prime, £3; medium, £2 7s 6cl to '£2 12s ■cd. Ryegrass: Samples of the new seed are offering, but few sales have been made yet. From present appearances prices are to rule very low. Buyers' ideas of values are : For farmers' dressed, Is 2d to Is sd ; extra, to Is 9d; machined, 2s to 2s 3d; extra, 2s 6d per bushel. Cooksfoot, 2Jd to 3d for farmers' lots, and 4d to 5d for machined! Linseed, £10. Pressed straw, 27s 6d. Clover hay, £3 to £3 ss. Nitrate of soda, £15. Clovers, rape, etc., all fresh. Potatoes. — Market has been bare this week. Prime Derwents meet a ready sale at 45s to 47s 6d; kidneys, 30s to 40s. Hides, 4d to 4|d, according to weight and condition. Tallow .—Rough fat, 13s to 14s; rendered, 15s> to ISs; extra, to 21s per cwt. Horsehair, Is 2d to Is 4d.

Sheepskins. — Dry crossbreds, 2s 3d to 7s 6d; merino, 2s <kl to 7s; extra, 7s 6d to 8s; pelts, 0-1 to Is lOd; extra, to 2s 3d. AYe held our usual sale of skins on Tuesday, when there was a fair demand. Babbits^kins. — Best winters are worth from 16d to 17d ;■* selected, to 17 Jd; springs, from lOd to 12d; summer, from 6d to Bcf; small, 3d to 5d per lb. We have now erected a complete clover-clean-ing plant, and all our other machinery up-to-date is the finest plant in the Southern Hemisphere. Farmers are invited to inspect. We are ready to start cleaning now. Please consign to our siding. FRUIT AND TB.ODUCE REPORT. Eggs. — Vickery's preservative, 22s 6d per case. Butter preservitas, Is 6d per lb; salt butter, milled and dairy, 7d first grade, 6d second gracie, 5d third grade. Pigs. — For good quality, 3Jd, with a good , demand. Honey, 4d to 4Jd. Beeswax, Is 3d to Is 6d. Roosters, 2s Cd, 2s 9d ; hens, 2s 3d, 2s 6d; ducks, 3s, 3s 6d; geese, ss. Turkeys: Cocks, from lOd to lid ; hens, 7d to 7Ad. These quotations are for prime quality. Butter cases, 17s per flosen, net on trucks Dunedin. Onions, 5s Gd cwt. * We receive fruit and sell by auction daily.
