Debenture was smartest away, and was followed by Auber, Palmer, Kinglike, Olaf, Epitome, and Rowdy, while Sheii was a bad last. At the five furlong post Auber held a slight lead fiom Debenture, with Olaf and Songbird well up. Along the railway siding Debenture, Songbird, and Kinglike were at the head of affairs with Olaf and Palmer next. .Songbird was first into the straight, with Palmer and Olaf moving up. Palmer came with a fine run from the distance, winning by three parts of a length from Olpi, with Songb.rd a length and a-halt away thiid. Kinglike was placed fourth. Blunderer went away_ with the lead from Veneda, Parthian, and .Lord Rudolph, with Prince Carbine bringing up the rear. Blunderer forced the pace, and at the five-furlong post held a lead of eight lengths from Veneda, with Parthian, Scorn, and Bobadil next, and Lord Rudolph last. At the railway siding Blunderer had increased his lesd to 12 lengths, but at the turn this was reduced to four lengths from Parthian, Veneda, and Lord Rudolph. When fairly in the straight Parthian turned on a full head of steam, and sweeping to the front won easily by eight lengths from Blunderer, with Lord Rudolrah three lengths off third, and bcom, Veneda, Tabilk, and Prince Carbine next.
