WELLINGTON.
In the Magistrate's Court on Monday the police prosecuted Mr Orr, a chemist, under the Offensive Publication Act. The prosecution was in connection with certain pills. Nothing appeared on the outside cover of a nature to which exception could be taken, but inside there was a list of certain ills which it was said could be cured, and in this fact the offence is said to be contained. Mr Orr denied any knowledge of what was in the packet, which was sealed.' The case is regarded as an important one in its bearing upon patent medicines. The magistrate reserved judgment until Friday.
