' Messrs Donald R&id and Co. report that prices ruled as under at their auction sale on Monday: — .Oats. — The demand for medium to good feed, •which was the only class catalogued by us on Monday, was limited, but for prime feed there is steady demand for export. We sold good feed at Is lid to 2s, and quote prime to 2s Oid ; medium, Is lOd to Is lid; inferior, Is 9d to Is 9§d per bushel (Sacks extra). Wheat. — We offered several lines of fowl wheat, which met with fair competition, and ■were qu.tted at 23 to 2a Id per bushel. Prime milling is the only other class meeting any demand, and is saleable at 2s 5d to 2s 6d per bushel (sacks in).

Potatoes. — The market is over-supplied, and consignments on hand are difficult to place. ,We quote: Best kidneys, £2; others, £1 15s to ail 17s 6d per ton (sacks in).

Wheat. — There is fair demand for prime milling at up to 2s Gd per bushel, but other sorts can only be placed at fowl feed prices, which are 2s to 2s Id.

Potatoes.— -Supplies are coming to hand freely, and prices are lower this week. We quote: Best Derwents, £2 5s to £2 7s 6d; kidneys, £2 to £2 5s per ton. Chaff. — Prime oaten meets with fair demand at £2 17s 6d to £3 per ton. Other descriptions «re almost unsaleable.
