Quite Willing.
A story is told of an Irish recruit who had been taken to be sworn in by the magistrate.
Everything was satisfactory, and Pot answered all the questions, until the magistrate said to him suddenly : "Have you ever been in prison?" The man looked quite startled, but presently said :
"No, sor, I niver was, but, shurc, I don'r mind a few days if ye think it should be done."
"Pais him," said the magistrate; "he will do."
