(Faou Our Wetherstones Correspondent.) [ April 17. — The Kloadyke dredge has commenced operations. The week before last she was turned round with her head up stream. I She met with a slight mishap last week — ! through no fault of the owners or those em- 1 ployed on her I—which1 — which Mr Adams soon had ! rectified. She will be in full working order I ] this week. j The Golden Rise Company will have the section of land they bought taken out in another week. In mining pnrlance, it doesn't I look, very gay. It is hungry-looking ground; but,^s one of the shareholders told me, it is payable, being just about equal to the old ground. i All the other claims are. hard at work, • having- sufficient water at present as a result of last week's rain. ■ , .
