CANADA AND AMERICA.
Ottawa, June 2.
In the House of Commons Sir G. E. Foster (ex-Finance Minister), referring to the convention now sitting for the settlement of disputes between America and Canada, congratulated the Government upon the result of the mission of Sir L. H. Davies, the Canadian representative, in obtaining a settlement of the Alaskan boundary and other difficulties. Sir Wilfrid Laurier, in replying, said that the past had better be forgotten. Present indications pointed that future relations between America and Canada would be marked by amity and peace.
