It baa been decided, owing to the absence of several of the successful, exhibitors and the lack of requisite accommodation to abandon the public presentation of prizsß.
On IJViday, the third day of the winter show, fchere was a constant etream of visitors, and in the evening the Agricultural and Exhibition Buildings were crowded to excess. The display of products Attracted much attention, &nd the exhibits were greatly admired, as were also the other features of the exhibition — notably, the Art: Gallery, the Early History court, aad the large display of very beautiful photographs which covers so muenof the wall space of the main building.
In the morning the Hon. John M'Keczie, the Minister for Lands, visited the winter show, and was so pleased with what he saw, and especially with the high character of t.be butter and cheese exhibits, that he warmly complimented the management of the society upon tbe progress made in connection with the winter &hovr.
In the evening the Garrison Band gave a capital promenade concert in the main hall, playiDg throughout with characteristic excellence.
As already stated, owing to the absence of the principal wieners in the farm competition and the ivant of an adequate room, there w*s no formal presentations of prizes this year.
