GRAIN AND PRODUCE REPORTS.

Messrs Donald Eeid and Co. report that prices ruled as under at their weekly auction sale : —

Oats.— We offered a, fair selection, which met •wifca moderate competition. Good to best sparrowbills sold at 2s 3d to 2s 4Jd ; medium, 2s 2d to 2s 3d per bushel (sacks extra). A good demand continues for "clean lines of Tartars, duns, *c, suitable for seed.

Wheat, — The market for milling wheat is qukt, and the business being done insignificant. We submitted several lots of fowl wheat, which sold at— for good whole wheat, 3s lOd to 4s ; broken, 3s 3d to 3s 6d per bushel (sacks in).

Potatoes. — Supplies were heavier than usual, and prices all round were a shade easier. Good Derwents sold at £5 15s, choice to £6 per ton (sacks in).

Chaff. — We offered about 50 tons. For prime heavy chaff the demand was good, and this class sold at £3 15s to £3 17s 6d ; good at £3 10-i to £3 12s b'd. Medium chaff wafc in over-supply and difficult to quit at prices a shade below those of last week. Ordinary sold at £3 2s 6d to £3 7s 6d per ton (bags extra).

Messrs Dalgett and Company (Limited) report having held their usual weekly auction sale on Monday. There was a fair attendance of buyers, and prices ruled as under :—

Oats. — We submitted several lines of good feed, and quote prime mil ing 2s 5d to 2s 7d (sacks extra), good feed 2s 3d to 2s 4Jd (sacks extra), medium 2s to 2s IJd (sacks ex<ra).

Wheat, —Only fowl feed offered. We quote: Whole, 3s 6d to 43 (sacka in) ; broken, 2s 9d to 33 3d (sacks in) ; inferior, 2s to 2s 5d (sacks in). Potatoes. — The demaod was uot so keen as was the case last week, and prices were easier by 2s Od to 5s per ton. We quote : Prime northern Derwents, £& ; prim 6 southern Derwesits, £5 12s Gd to £5 159.

Chaff — Only realty prime chaff is at all saleable, other lots being neglected, and market has a downward tendency. "W c quote : Extra prime, £3 17s 6d ; good, £3 10s to £3 15s ; medium, £3 to £3 5s ; straw chaff, £2 2s

Turnips. —Bagged, 24s ; loose, 18s to 203,
