I Bastard.— On the 22nd May, Clarissa Marques, .the dearly loved wife of Thomas P. Bastard, of South '.Brighton; Melbourne', and,eldest daughter of the late Henry Christophers,' Esq., R.N., of Castlemaine, and sister of Mi3S Christopheis, of this city. Bradford.— On the 2nd June, at the hospital, Dunedin, George Bradford (late s.s. Tarawera); aged 24 years. Clark. — On the 3rd June (suddenly), at his residence, Mr John Clark, formerly of Clark's Junction, and late of Outram.
Gumming.— On Wednesday, Ist June, tt the residence of her brother William, Waikaka "Valley, Gare, Jane, fourth daughter of the lite "William Cumming, of Baronsmill, Banffshire, Scotland ; in her rif ty-ninth year. Deeply regretted. Asleep in Jesus. DiXON.— On the 28th May, at Roxburgh, Susannah Kearns, the beloved wife of John Thomas Dixon, and daughter of Mrs Wilkes ; in her thirty-second year. Deeply regretted. JSagan.— On the 31st May, at her residence, Rockneath, Hyde, Eliza Eagan (nic Corry), of County Meath, Ireland, widow of the late Frederick Eagan ; aged 6S years. Johnson.— On the 3rd June, at the residence of his son-in-law (Robert Lee, Lintzgarth, Anderson's Bay), William James Johnson (latt> of Allendale, Northumberland, England) ; iv his eightyfxrarth year. Mackie.— On the 7th June, at the residence of his son-in-law (Mr John Jttobuitson), Gordon I road, Mosgiel, Thomas Mackie, sen., late of Sfcewarton, Ayrshire, Scotland; aged 80 year*. His end was peace. j, Martell.— On the Bth June, at Dunedin, i Reginald Charles, the beloved husband of Marion I Martell ; aged 49 years. Matheson.— On the 6fch June, at Ngapara, Captain James Matheson (formerly of 'Port Chalmers and Kakanui) ; aged 76 years. M'Millan.— On the Btb June, at her residence, Whare Flat, Flora, the beloved wife of John M'Millan ; aged 72 years. Flowers respectfully declined.
Young.— On the Bth June, at his residence, Main road, KentingtoD, Joseph, the beloved husband of Ann Young, and father of Jame3 Young (draper, Frederick street), Mrs W. Winton (St. Leonards), and Mrs F. W. Taylor (Clyde street) in his seventy-sixth year. His end was peace.
