ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.

Chiustchurch, June 9. Fair entries of all classes of stock at the Addington market. There was a very good attendance. Business throughout assumed a healthy tone and a good clearance was made. The entries comprised 15,315 sheep and larnpa, 435 head of cattle, and 454 pigs. Fat Cattle.— The 211 yarded, with the exception of a couple of show bullocks, were nearly all rough stuff, a good many of the animals being unfinished. Bidding was brisk until trade wants were supplied. Mr Suttan'a prize bullocks brought £15 and £13 5s respectively ; steers, £4 to £7 ; heifers, £3 10s to £6 12s 6(1 ; and cowrf, £2 10s to £6 17s 6d. Prime beef was from 15s to 173 6d psr 1001b ; medium to good, 13b to Hs b'd ; aud cows and iaferior, 8s to 12s. Fat Sheep.— Crossbred ewes weie much in evidence. were not so keenly sought after, and were mostly taken by graziers for finishing off. The demand for trade ewes was very good up to about the middle of the sale, but when the wants of the butchers had been satisfied matters eased off to a great extent. Towards the clo3e several liue3 were withdrawn owing to lack of competition. Heavy wethers from 17b 6d to 18b 3d ; good freezing wethers, 14s to 16s 3d ; lighter sorts, 12s to 13s 9d ', and unfinished lots down to 183 lid ; be3t, crossbred ewes, 12s to 14s 6d ; merino do, 9s to lls 6d ; and aged do, 7s 6d to 8s 9d.

Fat lambs came forward in fair numbers Better -classes met with' a good demand, freezing sorts selling f i om 8s 3d to lls lOd, and a few extra prime up to 12s 5d ; trade sorts, 6s to 8s ; unfinished lots down to 4s.

Pigs.— Tha yards were filled, all classes being well represented. Fats met with a good demand, and late pricos wer<3 fully maintained, while stores realised a trifle better prices. Per pound, baconers and porkers were from 4d to 4£d ; p«r head, baconers ran from 35s to 41s 6d, porkers 20s 6d to 345, stores 14s 6d to 20s, weaners 103t013s Gd, and suckers 4s 6d to 7s.
