One hundred thousand South Wales and Monmouthshire miners have given the coalowners notice of their intention to terminate the existing sliding scale.
Brussels, October 4
The Bakzian miners' congress have demanded 15 per cent, increase in wages before November 15, otherwise a general strike will be ordered.
