THE DR STUART MEMORIAL.

In the course, of a sermon preached on Sunday at Knos Church by the Rev. Mr Howitson, on the subject of " Patriotism," the rer. gentleman took occasion to refer to the long delay that had taken place in providing a public memorial to the late Rev. Dr Stuart. A gentleman well known in Dunedin in tho olden days happening to be in church and hewing the statements mado by Air Hewitson, yesterday forwarded the following letter with a cheque for 10 guineas to Mr Glendiuing :—: — .
