There was a large attendance at the Addington yards to-day, and the busi-.ess was food overywhere but in the cattle department. Theentiies comprised 349 cattle, 10.8S1 thetp, and 448 pigs. Fat Cattle. — The entry consisted mainly of medium and light weights of moderata to good quality. There was no improvement in the demand, and only a few desirable beasts exceeded the rate of 17s per lOOib. Prices current were — Prime steers and heifers, 16s to ]7s fld ; medium to good, 14s to 15s ; cows frnm 12s jier head. Bteers sold at from £3 10» to £6 15s t«l ; heifeis, £3 10s to £6 ; cows, £2 10s to £5 12s Gd. Dairy Cattle were tew in nmnbeis, and generally inferior in quality and condition and were in poor request. A very few good cows fetched £5 10s to £7 10s, but very low prices were offered for ordinary stock. Fat Sheep. -A laige entry of generally good quality constituted the best yaidiug forward for some time. There was good competition for freezers, and an advance on last weuk's prices was maintained throughout the sale. Be-t butchers' sheep also hardened, and iv other descriptions recent values were firmly upheld. Au almost complete clearance was effected.
