May 3.— At the annual meeting held in the schoolhouse for the purpose of electing a school committee about 20 parsons rolled up. Mr F. Gray, who has been chairman of the school committee for several years past, occupied the chair. . The balance &heet of the retiring committee showed a credit balance of £7 15s. There was uot much enthusiasm shown at the meeting, most of the members of the old committee retiring. The , following seven Wt>re elected, being the only nomij nations. Messrs John Butler, W. Lynch, A. ; M'-Pherson, R. Symes, W. Blackwell, J. Falconer, and J. Holden. At a meeting held subsequently ! Mr Butler was appointed chairman and MrSyuies j secretary and treasursr.
