MASONIC GRIND LODGE OF NEW ZEALAND.
Inyercargiix, April 28.
The first grand communication of ike Grand Lodge of New Zealand held heie met to-day, and excited great interest among tho Masonic body. About 100 were present. Tho visiting officials say that it was the most successful and numerously attended function since the inauguration of the Grand Lodge. Bro. "YV. Barron was installed as M.W.G.M. for the second term, and the following appointments were made :— .Deputy G.M., Rev. Bro. VV. Beilby, also G.S. of Hawke's Bay and Gisfoorne; Senior G.W., Bro. Tnomas W. Allen; Junior G.W., Bro. W. Gifkins ; Grand Superintendents — Broe. H. J. Williams (Wellington), Hamilton (Chrisfcchurch), Bartlett (Auckland), M. R. Bree (Southland), and H. L. Michel (Nelson and West Coast). The financial position was shown to be eminently satisfactory, the benevolent fund amounting to £1191 and the widows and orphans' to £382. The installation of the G-M. Lodge St. John in the evening was largely attended, and was followed by a banquet.
