A BOOT TRADE DISPUTE. Christchurch, April 26.
The Conciliation Board h sitting to-day in a matter of dispute between the Ft.dcrafced Bootmakers' Union aucl non-assooiafced etn- - ploycrs, the latter having refused to accept and work under and abide by tbe Arbitration Courb'n award of 3td December, 1896, respecting conditions of labour, general rules, and erapioyment of apprentices, and pay prices and extras for work done as agreed upon. Both sides are fully represented. The Board decided that as the employers had union hands in their employ at the time the diipufce was lodged they came within the jurisdic ion of the Board, which gave them till Monday next to accept or rejecb the award of the Arbitration Courb. The decision will nob apply to Maine Brother-.' dispute, which has been adjourned till to-morrow.
