TRADES AND LABOUR. A TAILORS' DISPUTE.
Wellington, April 26. The Conciliation Bo&rd sat again to-day, and further d scussed the fc*ilora' dispute. The president of fche Operative Tailors' Union strongly argued that no more than one man on weekly wages should be employed in each shop and pointed out that that was the system at Home, all the others being piece workers. In this he wan supported by two employers who have been 35 and 25 years in tho trade respectively. Mr Kiug, for the employers, said he could prove such waR not tho cusbom in Wellington, ai out of 16 shop? ever one-third employed more thau ono weekly intui.
