Lyell, April 17.
Lyell Creak. — The report of the mine manager for the week is as follows :— "The contractor tor the main shaft has sank four feet, making the total depth 34ft. A greater distance would have been sunk had the contractors been enabled to procure labour locally ; but having to visit Feefton for that purpose delayed matters. The slip outoide the mouth of the tuimel mentioned in my last report will bo all cleared away to-day."
