The ordinary general meetiDg of the GJenrock Consolidated (Limited) was bold in Tuesday last at the Cannon Street Hotel, Mr G. F. T.ivenor in the chiir. In moving the adoption of tho report the chairman dealt at soma length with the c .ny pany's properties in Australia. With reference to their New Zealand p-opurties he said that there was no doubt they were very line and well developed wining properties. Up to ths present time, unfortunately, they had been a source of some dis&ppointincat and expeme to tl c company, He noticed that recently a neighbouring property— the Achilles— had bsen turning out a large quantity of highly payable stone. He wished he could congratulate the xbareholdurs on a similar result from tilth- Premier property. They bad another property in New Zealand known as the .Sunrise, and according to recent advice 3 good stone had been struck, while the vein win likely to imps ovc in depth. That propel ty had bceii taken over by the company for a uiera triile, and it wvs oue which possessed a veiy good reputation. If the Sunrise turned out to be a good minu it would be th« endeavour of the board to get some other company working in N'.w Zealand to take a share in their properties there on a fair working valuation, so thai; the shaieho'ders in ,the (jlenrock would be able to reap tho auvnntase of any good property which might be made without having to spend very much money. Before passing away troin their New Zealand properties it was only fair to slate that they h*d laken gold to the value of come £10,000 from their Premier property. The rpjnainder of the proceedings were of no special interest to iSew Zealand.
