Sir, — In your last iss>ue j oar Clyde correspondent mentioned the reasons why Rome fruitgrowers did not exhibit at the laßt fruit show at Cromwell. It is quite correct what your correspondent siya. At the show held in Cromwell three- year-) ago I exhibited grapes and expected the pr.zj, but when the show was opened tny grapes had disappeared, *nd the plate was empty, and a card with my name was placed upon some green gr.»poi\ I went to Mr Howden (the iudge) to get him to scratch out my name, ns I \vas ashamed to see it ou ouch green and inferior grapes. — I am, <fee, Alexandra South.
