DUNEDIN CITY MISSION.
The committee met on the 7th inst., when there were present— Captain Thomson, Messrs GaorceM. Thomson (president), K. Rosevear, (hon. treasurer), George Reid, WillUm Hutchison, T. N. Wilson, D. Wright (missionary), and D. Booth hon. secre^ry). It was reported that letters of thanks, signed by the president, had been addressed to many of the pympathisere with the roi-sion and those who were likely to subscribe, and tho results had been satisfartorv. The misMonary gave some details of his visitations to different paita of the city, and also to the Bsnevo-.. lent In*titurion and Hospital. The attendances a* the SUte schools for Bible rauiiug<mrim; the past four weeks were :— High «tivut. .'til; lOiusington, 1231 ; Albany street. 3lJ0;3 l J0; ftoorge sti-eer, 40S ; Arthur street, 417 ;— total, 180 S. Over (WO Good News and other periodicals had been <lismbuted. The Sunday evpning service at Rusaell street Mission H*U has been well attended, and is much apprecia r ed by the district. R».v. R. R. M. Sutherland, Mr Joseph i'csltham, Mm Hartley Inglis, and othcr3 had assisted.
In addition to t.he ordinary routine of dutic- Mr Wright, had conducted, ia conjunction with Rsv. It. R. M Sutherland, a 10 days' special mission at Kaikoiai, and had also asskted in week day and Sunday .services at the Christian Ethical Institute, Kew. Noith Dunedin Oh'irch Sunday School, anniversiry services at Mosgiel, ana Dundus street Primitive Mcthodiwt Chuicb.
Mr Wright has promised to conduct evangelistic ssrvires at Diuilwck, at present under the charts of the Rev. W. P.mton Brown.
