MONTHLY SALE AT PALMERSTON.
Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report holding their monthly sale on Thursday, 15th inst , their usual date falling on Good Friday. There was a Urge entry of sheep and cattle, and the attendance of farmers and buyers wa3 good. All the sheep forward except a small line of fat maiden ewes, overvalued by their owner, were cleared under spirited competition, and most of the cattle also changed hands. There was keeu competition for breeding owes, which sold up to 8s sd. Lambs made 5s 9J, a line of small twotooths off tussock 5s 3d, and Border Leicester rams 21s. Young cattle sold at up to 41s, and in pigs euckera made IDs.
