Fruit.— Apples and pears in short supply; wanted. Oranges : Tahiti, Bs. Lemons : Italian, ; 20s to 22s 6d. Teviot fruit: We are receiving S Tegular supplies of peaches, plums, Ac. Plums, I lid to 2Jd ; peaches, 3d to 4d.' Tomatoes : Christchurch, very little sale, Id to IJd. Grapes, 6d to 9d. Potatoes! : Derwents, £3 10s to £4. Apples : Dessert, 2id to 3d ; cooking, ljd to 2d. Pears : Local, 2Jd to 3Jd ; imported, 14s to 15s. Bananas, l|d to 2Jd.
Produce.— Eggs, wanted. Freeh butter, 6d to ' 8d ; prime salt, 6d to 7d. Bacon : Roll, 5Jd. ' Hams, 7d to 7id. Cheese : Old factory, 3d to 4d ; prime, 4*d to 4Jd. Pigs, 3Jd to 3sd (wanted). Poultry, in fair demand ; we receive any day for snle. Onions : Melbourne, 7s to 8s : locally-grown, £4 15s to £5 10s. Honey, 4d to 4Jd (wanted). Wft receive consignments of" grain, fruit, farm and dairy produce of all descriptions. Highest prices realised.
