Thp ordinary meeting of the Land Board, held on Wednesday, was attended by Messis J. P. Maitland (chief commissioner), H. Ulark, A. M'lCernnv, J Duncan, and W. Dallas GiMMKiini'KN.— District Surveyor Calder having !•■ poited upon the uniJer-mcntioned sections in block XII, Gimnierburn district, they wera dealt with a= follows : — Section 2(containin_K 753 a lr)— Andrew Cleugh to be allowed to acquire on lease in perpetuity at a capital value of 15s per acre ; tect.iou 3 (369 a2r 2.ip)— Mark Roberts to be allowed to acquire on lease in perpetuity at a capital value of IDs per acre : section 4 (4lb"a 2r)— John Docherty to be allowed to acquire on_ lease in perpetuity at a capital value of 15s per' acre — Applications by Neil Kearney, Christina Brown, and Robert G. Shaw, jun , for small grazing runs No. 225 v were declined, the run having been lerominended for notification. Glknomaru.— Henry Jones wrote complaining of want of access to section 43, block Vil, Glen1 omaiu districr, held by him under perpetual lease.— Referred to the chief surveyor for consideration. Hunger —James Stevenson applied for an area of 20 acres upon Run 170, Benger district, and forwarded the runholders' con«ent to the application being granted.— The applicaut was recommended to apply for area under occupation leaseunder the Mining Districts Land Occupation Act. Oamahu.— Applications by Wiu. Kanki.i and David Dunn for part of the Beach reserve at Capa Wanbrow, Oamaru, were decline . Ttjateka - Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co., on behalf of George Matheson, wrote declining to accept a j early license over Kuns 3, 4, and b\ Tuaoeka. — The letter was received. Ui'i'Eii Wakatipii.— Ranger Mackenzie having reported upon forfeited perpetual luase sections 1, 2, and 3, block I, Upper Waitatipu district, lately held by J. K. Birley, the board decided that the sections be recommended for notification at a. capital v.ilue of 9s per acre. Tioku Hill.— The board resolved to offer at auction at a pa'toral license for a term of seven years, at an upset rental of --ClO, the area of 2000 acres at Tiger Hill lately held under licer se by the Blacks Commonage Committee. — G. N. M'lntash wrote in regard to sections 5, 9, 10, and 15, block V, Tiger Hill district, the letter being referred to the 1 anger to report. — An application by W. Leask to complete purchase of section 25, Block 11, Tiger Hill district, held by him under agricultural lease, was approved. Lower Hawea.— Ranee- Mackenzie having reported upon sections 50, 57, 65, aud 66, block XII, Lower Hawea district, which had been forfeited, it was resolved that the sections be reopened on lease in perpetuity at a capital value of £1 ; sections s*i and 57 to bs grouped and have evaluation for improvements of £81 15s; section 65 to have a valuation of £43 15s, and section 60 a valuation of £4. Maerewhenua,— An application to have the lease in respect of part of section 47, block IX, Maerewheuua, issued in the name of Mary Cook, widow of Johu Cook, was granted. Puketapu itSTAXK.— Applications by the following for exemption from residence on the leases in perpetuity held by them on tbe Puketapu estate were granted :— Sarah Jane Wright, Alexander M'Donald, and Johann Sutherland. The applicants are all residing on lands held by their parents, and adjoining land leased by themselves. —Win. Chisholm, John Watt, Adam Sutherland, Mary Ann Sutherland, John Chisholm, and Win. Sutherland were required to appear before the board within 14 days to show cauße why their leases in the Puketapu estate should not be forfeited for non-compliance with the residence conditions. •Waihemo.— An application by Mrs Ellen Muir to surieuder small grazing run, 6ection 1, block X, Waihemo district, was referred to the ranger to report. The Makaiieao Estate.— The board adjourned till 11 o'clock on Thursday to consider applications lodged on Wednesday for sections in tho Makareao eßtate.
