Messrs MoßirzsoN and Hopkin, Dunedin, report (wholesale) as follows for week ending April 14. All quotations subject to market fluctuations :— We would ask farmers when sending samples always to put a piice on them, as buyers do not feel inclined to make offers. Wheat. — Maiket fairly brisk for prime samples. We quote : Best velvet — Oamaru 4s 2d, south 4s ; bast 'luscan — Ounam 43, south 3s lid to 4s; red chaff, 3s lid to 4s; fowls' wheat. 33 to 3s 6d. Oats : Not many offering ; prices risiug fast. We have sold a few line« of prime Sutherlands at 2s 2d to 2s 3d, and can place more at rame price. Bright short feed. 2s to 2s Id. and have an order to execute for £0,000 sacks. We have placed several thousand sacks during the week. Barley : Keed sorts are quoted 2s 2U to 2s Id ; malting, from 3s (id to 4s. Kyecorn (iv trood demaud, aud we can' place a large quantity at quotations; send in samples), 3-> to 3* 3J. Flour : We quote £11. Oatmeal in 25'?, £12. Pearl barley, £14. Bran, £3. Pollard, £4. Nelson hops are quoted at lOid to Is. Chaff : Scarce ; good old, £3 2s 6d ; new at £2 17s fid to £3 Rjegiass: There is now a good deal of the new season's crop offering. The only demand, however, is for small shotty seed, other descriptions "netne; at p:eoent only saleable at very low prices, which owners are not inclined to accept in the meantime. During the week we have pliced a lar^e quantity at from 2s to 3s Id per bushel (sacks extra) ; for farmers' dre^ed, 2s to 2s lOd ; machined, 3s 3d to 4s — a go-;d inquiry for small seed. Rabbitskins. — We offered a good catalogue on Monday, and cleared the lot at Ute rates. We quote : Prime winters, 10J to 12d , springs, 61 to 81 : summers, 31 to 5Jd per lb. Sheepskins. — We quo'e : Butchers' p2IK Is 01 to 2s 61; dry crossbreds 2s 5d to 5a tii ; dry merinos, 2s 3d to 3s 6 1 ; medium do, Is 6d to 2s. Hides, lid to Sid, according td weight and condition. Tallow : Rough fat, 9s Gd to lls ; rendered, 12s to 15s. Horsehair, Is to Is 3d. Cornsacks. — We have just landed a large shipment of 46in and 48in sacks, and shall be pleased to quote on application. We are now storing oats at Bluff, Gore, and Invejeargi 1, and would ask farmer?, if not intended for Dunedin, to cons'gn to us as follows :—Moritzson and Hopkin, Bluff; or, Henderson and Eitger. Invercargill and Gore, with whom we 3tore, and who advi&e us. We pay all railage*. FRUIT AND PRODUCE REPORT. Butter : Prime salt — Dairy-made, 7d ; good, 6Jd ; milled, 6d per lb. AH cases should bear the Governmeut brand. We have buyers tor all good quality at quotations. Cheese • Good Akaroa, 3fd to 4d ; factory, 4d to 4id Pig 3, 3£d for good quality ; wanted. days. Roosters (young), 2s 9d to 3s ; hens, 2a fid ; ducks (young), 3s to 3s fid. Beeswax Is 3d, according to quality. Fruit. — We receive consignments of all kinds of fruit and garden produce, which we'sell either by auction or privately, as we think best in the interests of consignors. Italian lemons, lCs per case of 300. Tomatoes, Id per lb. Tahiti oranges, 63 per case.
