TRADES AND LABOUR.
Sydney, January 28. The Political Labour League, at their annual conference, resolved to add an old age pension scheme to their fighting platform, and to include among tb«ir " plankH " the nationalisation of the land and the nationalisation of the whole means ot production, distribution, and exchange. It was decided that that portion of the Federal platform which was adopted at last year's conference favouring two Homes to conititute the Federal Legislature be rescinded, as being inconsistent .with labour prlnoiplea; also that in connection with the plebiscite on the tariff question to be taken at the next Igenoral election the Labour oandidates should tske no part in advocating either Freetrada or Protection, but should pledge themselves to support, the policy whioh gains the majority of the popular vote.
