Shares: Natiocal Bank of New Zealand, LI 153; Bank of New Zealand 4 per cent, guaranteed stock, 103£ ; New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company 4 per cant, prior lien debentures, 945. January 28. Mutton : First quality, 3|d ; second Hemp :b unchanged. The Erglish wheat market shows a general decline of Gd, the Continental is declining und weak, and the American shows a general decline. Caltfornian No. 1 milling wheat (early ihipment), 343 9d ; Russian cargoes, 32s 6d ; London quotations for No. 1 hard Dalubb, 854 6d. Sugar is- steady. German, 9s l£d ; Java, 11s 3d. , Iron, 47s lO^d.
The Bradford wool market ia flat. Babbits are firm at 10d, snow having stopped the Eoglish supplies. The Bank of England reserve is L 28.430.000 The proportion of reserve to liabilities 1b 5338. Tflree months' bills, If Consols, 112£. Colonial stocks are quoted as follows :—: —
