Tallow. — The supply is small, but tbere ia no change in the market, all coming forward being disposed of at lato rates. Grain.— Wheat : Stocks of last season's wieat are now nlraoat exhausted, and the amount of business passing is trifling. Millers' requirements are not large, pending the approach of tho new crop, and they cannot bo induced to purchase any but what may be termed choice samples. Whole fowl wheat continues in fair demand at quotations. Although one or two samples of the new crop have come forward, no sales of any importance have transpiroil, and values are not yet established. Quotations : Prime milling velvet, 43 7VI tn 4a 10J ; prime milling Tuscan, 4s 6d to 4s 9.1 : medium milling, 4a 3d to 4s 5d ; fowl feed, 3s (kl to 4s Id per bushel (sacks in). Oata : Shippers are not disposed to purchase except for fulfilment of actual orders. These have been more numerous and of larger volume lately, and the demand lias therefore been more active, although prices are not quptably improved. Potatoes. — The market has been liberally supplied during the past week, and prices have suffered in consequence. Gooi, ripe, freshly dug kifluevs are now inquired for, other sorts being difficult to place. Quotations : Best kidneys, £5 10.s to £6 10s ; medium, £4 to £5 per ton (sacks in). Chaff.— The supply this week lias bean ample for local requirements, and late values have been maintained with difficulty. Prime quality is tht only sort in request, medium and inferior being neglected and difficult to place.
