LAND BOARD.

The ordinary' meeting of the Land Board was held on Wednesday, when there wero present— Messrs J. P. Maitland (chief commissioner), W. Dallas, J. Duncan, H. Clark, and A. M'Kerrow.

Kawakau.— Charles Perriam applied for 50 acres of land in block 111, Kawarau.— Perpetual lease granted over area applied for at a cnpiUl value of 12s 6d per acre, reserve of one chain in width to be laid off on each side of creek. , Tiger Hill —Ranger Hughan reported on the application of Sue Ohuen to purchase 14 acres in block 11, Tiger Hill.-Deollned. ManuHerikia River.— Runger Hughan reported on the application of Wm Fraser for permission to occupy a small piece of land between his occupation license on Run 220 i una the Maimherikia River.— Yearly license granted at ss. Shotover.— Joseph Gardiner wrote in regard to his jetty site licanse in block XIX, Shotover.— Referred to Ranger Mackenzie. Warepa.— Ranker Atkln'son reported upon section 81, block IX, Warepa.— Recommended for notification at capital value of 10s per acre. Lauder.— Thomas D. M'Leire applied for an occupation lease over 100 acres upon Run 226, Lauder, oa which Ranger Hughan nad reported. —Lease granted over area applied for, to include 50 acres already held by applicßnt under occupation licence, at the rental of Is per acre, Bitch areaof 100 acres not to include fenced-in paddock of Keenan's.

Naseby.— The Stock department applied to have an area of six acres between blocki IV and V, town of Naseby, reserved for the uae of the depaitment.— Referred to chief surveyor for report. Fraser District.— Craven Paget applied for an area of 40 acres in block I, Franer district, Ranger Hughan reporting on the application.— Grantedat capital value of 20s per acre. Payment of Arrears.— The Receiver of Land Revenue reported the payment of arrears on tbe following holding* -.—Small grazing Runs 88 and 181, leases in perpetuity 76 and 954.-r-Resolutio,n forfeiting hbldingslreecinded. Village Homestead (Allotments.— Ranzer Atkinson reported - upon section 10, block XI, Naseby, held as a village homestead allotment by Margaret M'Lennan ; also upon section 17, same block, held by James Smith.— Holders to show cause why leases should not be forfeited for noncompliance with residence conditions. Lowkr Wanaka.— Richard Noiman wrote with rei.pocfc to tbe price placed ou sections 1, 2, 14, 15, and 1(1, Lower Wanaka.— Received. Fkaser District. —Mr F. O. Faisandier applied for a lease in perpetuity over 140 acres on Ruub 249 and 320b, Fraser district. Ranger Hughan reported on the application.— Application granted at capital value of 20s, care to be taken when survey is made to have ample roadway for stock to and from such country. Moeiuki.— James Drummond and Donald Murray app'ied for a lease over the plantation reserve (Makareao estate) section 23, block XV, Moeraki.— Referred to ranger for report. St. Bathans.— Hanger Hughan reported on tho application by Harriet Ballard for an occupation lease, over 100 acres on Run 226, St. Bathan».— Lease granted over 100 acres, to include 50 acres held by applicant under occupation license and 35 acres held by applicant's husband, at a yearly rental of 1» per annum. Tarras.— Peter M'lntosh applied for an area of about 275 acres on Run 236 d, Tarras. The runholders forwarded their consent to the application. — Consideration deferred.
